Refugee Nation

Sponsor Miss Talat Sao

Help Refugee Nation be a success in Los Angeles! By having a four-week run at the world class Los Angeles Theater Center, we have been given the opportunity to re-write the script, build a set for the first time, and re-vamp the performance. After over 7 years of traveling the country building community wherever we go, we are asking you to help us build community in our hometown where we plan to share the stories we have collected during this incredible journey of creating Refugee Nation. We still need to raise $10,000 to make this production a success.

Be a beauty pageant sponsor. We have created a new character Miss Talat Sao, a Miss Intergalactic Lao New Year beauty pageant contestant that will be played by Litdet Viravong. Help him transform from this:

Business Sponsor

As a business sponsor you can promote your business throughout the run of the show reaching over 1600 audiences members. Your business can receive an advertisement in the printed program, be featured on our web page and other marketing opportunities in exchange for donating products, services or direct contributions. For example Refugee Nation is seeking:

  • Catering for opening night on June 2 and for other community nights
  • Beer and wine donations for special events including panel and post show discussions
  • Ticket sponsorship for low-income youth and families to attend performances ($750 would sponsor 50 tickets, $1500 would sponsor all the seats in the theater for one performance)
  • Contracting a bus to bring community members from outside of the City of Los Angeles

Please contact shameka@teada.org to discuss possibilities. Please contact us by May 14 to ensure inclusion in the printed program.
